Raising resilient, curious, creative and happy children with the confidence to shape their world.
Welcome families of all backgrounds and cultures to learn, share and support each other in raising happy, confident children.
Understand the early signs of stress in children and how to respond with care. Gain practical, everyday tools to help your child feel confident and capable. Learn where to find support and guidance in Finland, and who to turn to. See and support children's creativity and entrepreneurship in action.
Programme
What to expect at the event
- Expert talks: Child psychiatry specialists, sociologists and teachers share insights into common challenges in children’s health and how to raise confident, caring and happy children.
- Panel discussion: Raising children between cultures, perspectives from families of different backgrounds
- Panel discussion: How to help children focus.
- Information session: Where and how families and children can find support and guidance.
- Q&A with specialists: Bring your questions and get practical, friendly advice.
- Children’s entrepreneurship stalls: Young entrepreneurs run their own stalls and showcase their ideas, products and skills.
- Awareness stalls: Information, resources and support services for families.
- Food, fashion and fun stalls: Food from different cultures, fashion, games and activities for the whole family.
- Language: Talks in English, with Finnish support. Questions welcome in either language.

Dr. Tanveer Ahmad Sandhu
Dr. Tanveer Ahmad Sandhu is a highly experienced physician with over 36 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience in Finland and the United Kingdom. He specializes in Child Psychiatry.
